Looking Beyond Activity Labels: Mining Context-Aware Resource Profiles Using Activity Instance Archetypes

چکیده
Efficient resource management is a critical success factor for all businesses. Correct insights into actual profiles, i.e. groups of resources performing similar activity instances, important successful knowledge and (human) management. To this end, organisational mining, subfield Process Mining, focuses on techniques to extract such profiles from event logs. However, existing ignore contextual factors that impact how by whom an performed. This paper introduces the novel method ResProMin discover context-aware In contrast state-of-the-art, builds upon notion instance archetypes, which incorporates instance’s context. An evaluation real-life logs demonstrates its feasibility potential uncover valuable business insights.

Context-Aware Activity Forecasting
In this paper, we investigate the problem of forecasting future activities in continuous videos. Ability to successfully forecast activities that are yet to be observed is a very important video understanding problem, and is starting to receive attention in the computer vision literature. We propose an activity forecasting strategy that models the simultaneous and/or sequential nature of human ...
متن کاملContext-aware Data Mining using Ontologies
Data mining, which aims at extracting interesting information from large collections of data, has been widely used as an active decision making tool. Real-world applications of data mining require a dynamic and resilient model that is aware of a wide variety of diverse and unpredictable contexts. Contexts consist of circumstantial aspects of the user and domain that may affect the data mining p...
متن کاملActivity Zones for Context-Aware Computing
Location is a primary cue in many context-aware computing systems, and is often represented as a global coordinate, room number, or a set of Euclidean distances to various landmarks. A user’s concept of location, however, is often defined in terms of regions in which similar activities occur. We discuss the concept of such regions, which we call activity zones, and suggest that such zones can b...
متن کاملContext Aware Observation of Human Activity
In this paper we define a framework for context aware observation of human activity. A context is defined as a network of situations. A situation network is interpreted as a specification for a federation of processes to observe humans and their actions. We present a process-based software architecture for building systems for observing acivity and discuss methods for building systems using thi...
متن کاملWatching Through the Web: Building Personal Activity and Context-Aware Interfaces using Web Activity Streams
This paper proposes the use of the increasing numbers of Webbased user activity and personal information sources to enable the creation of more personal, adaptive and activity-sensitive information tools. We describe our initial steps at investigating this idea, including challenges surrounding integrating information from heterogeneous web data sources. This paper contributes an implementation...
